I read somewhere that in 2008 about 8% of all marriages were from online dating sites. Their popularity seems to be growing. Fad or Fake?

Do any of these online dating sites actually work?

OK so I’ve used quite a few online dating sites with no success. I’m lonely and haven’t been on a date for quite some time now. I’ve been trying to hook up with women online but I never get a response from the women I send out messages to on the internet dating sites. I’m beginning to think the whole internet dating thing is a scam and actually doesn’t work. So has anyone used any dating website that has actually yielded good results for them? Thanks.

ok bro listen carefully i had the same problem sort of if u want girlfriend wife what ever bro its better to meet a girl on the streets than on the web becuase if u try online dating theres a chance that there is a pervert or a female pic on the profiile but acutally a man writing to you or a person that wants to scam you if u want a girl go to a local club bar have a drinking u will meet people there join a club to meet people ok and so on

Is it ok to keep your online dating profile when dating someone for a few months but not log in?

It depends on how confident you are in the relationship. Do you think he’ll be around for a while or is it just a casual relationship? But I think it’s best, so your partner doesn’t get any ideas, to take off the dating profile. I never used them before, but if there’s any account opinions that allow your account to be inactive, so you don’t have to go to the trouble of deleting the entire account, I’d do that until you seriously know how good this relationship is.

When should you take your online dating profile down when you are dating someone?

I met this guy online whom ive been talking with for a while and i am thinking about moving to where he is to start a relationship with him. We are both interested in dating one another now. We have a lot in common and i am really interested and think it can work. I am not a person who takes many chances in life, therefore im thinking if im scared to take the chance should i just forget it altogether? What you think? Take the chance or not?

Depends on how long you’ve been corresponding. Have you met in person? Have you talked with any of his friends or family? Have you researched him online? Have you checked the court records where he lives to find out if he has a record of any kind? That is public info and is free and easy to check on. Do you homeword BEFORE you move out there. Have him meet your friends and family first. This is not something to do willy nilly. Good luck, and stay safe!
